Gathering Place

The dining room is my favorite room in our new home.

I love the window...and this Thanksgiving view of new fallen snow.

I love my painting of Small Paul (albeit not fully in view).

I love my burlap curtains hanging from the copper rod.

But most of all, I love family gathered around the table.  Here we laugh, eat, and share our lives.

I never dreamed that someday I would live close enough to a few family members that this would become a regular occurrence.

(I also love that Jaxon is sitting at the head of the table waving at me.)

And thankfully my new acacia hardwood floor (which was in progress here) replaced the white carpet, so I can relax and enjoy my meal too!!
